his research on the mangosteen due to a non-disclosure agreement.
Why would the world’s fastest-growing major pharmaceutical
company, one that Fortune magazine ranked #14 on the list of
“World’s Most Admired Companies,” be so interested in the
mangosteen fruit?
Predictions are being made that in coming years the world will
see as many as five new medications based on the mangosteen
fruit – mostly due to its strong anti-inflammatory properties.
One recent study [1] confirmed that gamma mangostin, a xanthone
derivative found in the mangosteen, is a potent COX inhibitor.
This is an important factor in reducing inflammation, pain, and
fever.
