Dogs - Pets - Animals - Cancer – A Testimonial

I have a dog that has had cancer on his foot off and on for over a year. With surgery they removed it and stated that it was quite possible that due to the nature of the cancer it would most likely return and it did, about 4 months later. The healing process of this operation took its toll on the whole family. This dog is part pit/lab and is quite “bull headed” you might say. Daily we would bandage his foot, put a sock on it and he would wear a cone around his neck.

For the first few days he was fine but then it was horrible. We were putting a new bandage on about every 2 hours, new sock, we tried white pepper, bitter apple anything hot and spicy on the sock and then placing the cone around his neck again. We even had to replace the cone with another because he would learn how to bend and manipulate around it to lick his paw while wearing it around his neck. If it wasn’t such an ordeal we truly might have been impressed with how smart he was. It came to a point that we even had to keep him on tranquilizers daily to make him drowsy so he wouldn’t take the bandages off. It was a true nightmare.

Finally, it just about healed itself and another one appeared on his foot. To our horror we had 2 choices, remove it again OR amputate the foot. Due to the loss of another dog after amputation of a leg (cancer too) AND the ordeal we went through before we were all unsure of what to do. The only other choice was to put him down. NO WAY…

Well, along came a friend that is a distributor of mangosteen. I just happened to go to her shop (she is a hairdresser) and we got into conversation and somehow got on the subject of Dylan my dog. She told me all about the product and what good results they were having with it for many different things. Due to some financial reasons at that time I was unable to purchase the product. She was so kind, and so certain that this would help him that she donated a bottle to me weekly. We only gave him 2 oz. a day because of the cost factor but we actually did start to see results within 2 weeks time.

In the beginning the foot had started to give him a little trouble, it was swollen and raw. We even started to see him start to limp and we KNEW that was not a good thing. He would lick it all the time so that kept it looking like an open wound even though it was the tumour growing. We gave it to him internally because he would just lick off the juice from his foot if we applied it topically too. We felt that if we gave it to him on his food at least we KNEW it would get eaten.

In the weeks to follow we did see good results with it. We were seeing good results with it, he was running around with his fellow roommate (Austin) and he started to do all kinds of things he did with him before this horrible growth. The limp even went away. They both are very large dogs and really tear up the yard when he feels good.

However, due to $ and trying to get a bottle weekly we sometimes skipped a few days, a week and once 2 weeks. This was our doing not my friends. When she was around I wasn’t and when I’d finally go to get a bottle there wasn’t any. This was because of my busy schedule not hers. Sad to say the tumour grew back again, larger and very red.

Well, now, things have gotten a bit better financially [and] I now have it delivered to my home every month on a regular basis. He NOW will be on a regimented treatment, no interruptions like before no matter how busy my schedule is. He still can only get the 2oz but even if it takes a bit longer for results at least we are doing something for him that I feel is in the right direction health wise.

He has only been using it again for a few days so hopefully in another month I’ll have some good news to share. Wish us ALL luck!

Oh, sorry so long but felt it necessary so all could understand what was going on from the beginning.
